Application Procedure and Implementation Measures for the “Sunshine IPers” Project (Trial)

This Implementation Measures (Trial) is formulated according to the Articles of Association of the Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Legal Development Foundation, the “Sunshine IPer” project plan, and the decision of the board of SSIP.

I. Qualified Applicants

A. Professionals in the IP industry, including teachers, scholars, judges, lawyers, examiners, agents, etc.;

B. The applicant is suffering from (a) major disease(s);

C. The treatment fee that should be paid by the applicants, but not able to afford due to financial difficulty, excluding those covered by social security and commercial insurance systems;

D. The formal medical institutions where the applicant is treated may accept SSIP’s payment directly and make sure it is used to pay for the bill of treatment.

II. Application Material Required

A. “Sunshine IPer” project application form;

B. Applicant’s National ID, copy of the Hukou, certificate of occupation;

C. Diagnosis medical record, diagnosis certificate, inpatient certificate and so on issued by formal medical institution;

D. A copy of the reimbursement receipts issued by the administrative department of basic medical insurance or the commercial insurance institutions;

E. A formal medical expense bill issued by a designated medical institution for basic medical insurance (self-paid expenses) (original or reprinted);

F. Account information such as the name, bank account of the formal medical institutions etc., which will enable the SSIP to pay the bill directly to the medical institutions. Applicant shall provide original documents required by Article II, paragraphs C and D, and the amount in the documents should correspond to the amount needs to be paid.

III. Approval Procedures and Implementation Measures

A. SSIP shall make decision on whether or not to grant financial assistance within 15 work days after the applicant provides the all the documents and information required;

B. In accordance with the requirements of the project, SSIP and the applicant shall sign an agreement on medical assistance;

C. The applicant may, according to the agreement and the information required for this project, apply for the use of the grant on a regular basis within the scope of the amount of assistance agreed upon.
