The 1st Advanced Training Program for Internet Adjudication Will Be Held on June 14-15, 2019

On April 25, 2019, SSIP and Guangzhou Court of Internet signed a strategic cooperation agreement, which is intended to focus on the core area of cyberspace governance rule of law, research on Internet adjudication mechanism reform, Internet industry policy and legal support system, Internet judicial forum, the training of internet judges and the training of legal personnels, etc.

To this end, SSIP and Guangzhou Court of the Internet will hold the first "Advanced Training Program for Internet Adjudication" from June 14th to 15th. The first lectures will be given by Professor Liu Chuntian, President of China Intellectual Property Law Association, Dean of Renmin University of China, School of Intellectual Property, and Judge Su Chi, Vice President of China Intellectual Property Law Association, Director of IP Guiding Case Research Center of the Supreme People's Court. The two experts will talk about the basic theoretic issues in copyright law and the new and difficult issues in Internet copyright adjudication.

Judge Su Chi, Director of the Guiding Case Research Center of Supreme People's Court, Vice President of China Intellectual Property Law Association, President of Beijing Intellectual Property Association. Judge Su served as the first chief judge of China's first IP tribunal, i.e. Beijing Intermediate People's Court IP Tribunal, in 1993. And he also served as the first Chief Judge of China's first IP Court, i.e. Beijing IP Court, from November 2014 to December 2017.

SSIP will support this series of training courses by inviting experts and providing funds, so as to share new knowledge with judges, and providing theoretical and practical support for Internet adjudication.
