The seminar on "Court of the Internet: Guangzhou's Practice" jointly organized by SSIP and Guangzhou Court of the Internet was held in Guangzhou on July 29. This seminar aims to invite well-known scholars and experts to summerize the practical experience since the establishment of Guangzhou Court of the Internet and provide theoretical guidance for the future development of the courts of the Internet in China.
The seminar invited Prof. Zhao Gansen from South China Normal University School of Computer Science, Luo Weixiong, President of Hong Kong Mediation Center, Lai Jianguo, President of the Board of China-ASEAN (Macao) Arbitration Association, Prof. Teng Hongqing from South China University of Technology School of Law, Prof. Duan Housheng from Fudan University School of Law, Zhang Siqi, Director of the legal department of International Dispute Resolution and Risk Management Institute, Prof. Dong Hao from Guangzhou University Research Center for Public Law, Prof. Jiang Huiling, Associate Dean of National Judges College, Prof. Yang Dong, Associate Dean of Renmin University of China School of Law and other scholars in the field of IP, to discuss the achievement of Guangzhou Court of the Internet since its establishment, the construction of think tanks, the cooperation amongst Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macao, and the integration of trial practice and theoretical research, etc.
In the end of the seminar, Judge Wang Yong, Party Secretary and Chief Judge of the Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court, summed up the meeting.
After the meeting, the participants also visited the Guangzhou Court of the Internet litigation service hall and the exhibition area, and experienced the "5G + VR" adjudication technology, E-court, self-service litigation equipment and other innovations and learned more about the advanced technology of Guangzhou Court of the Internet and its innovative initiatives.
The seminar was successful and fruitful. SSIP will continue to support Guangzhou Court of the Internet in the future, and make greater contributions to furthering the establishment of a normalized mechanism for expert dialogue and achieiving the strategic goal of constructing a powerful country in the Internet.
