The First International Symposium on Judicial Protection for Intellectual Property (IP) co-hosted by Renmin University of China School of Law, China Law Society Intellectual Property Law Association, Renmin University of China Research Center for International Intellectual Property and Sponsored by SSIP, will be held on January 18 and 19, 2020 in Beijing.
Participants of the symposium includes foreign judges from District Courts of the United States, High Court of England, Supreme Court of Germany, Chinese judges from Supreme People’s Court, Beijing Higher People’s Court, Jiangsu Higher People’s Court, Nanjing Intermediate People’s Court, Beijing Intellectual Property Court, Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court, Shenzhen Intellectual Property Division, as well as experts and scholars from Berkeley Center for Law & Technology (US), Queen Mary University of London (UK), Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Institute of Technology, Tongji University, Wuhan University, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and other research institutions at home and abroad.
Participants will discuss on a wide range of topics ranging from anti-suit injunctions and injunctions in IP litigation, the determination on FRAND license fee for SEP and anti-trust regulation on SEPs, to most influential IP cases in different jurisdictions in the year of 2019. The symposium will also invite judges from at home and abroad to have dialogue on jurisdiction issues, injunctions, global license rates, global coordination and balance of anti-trust initiatives in IP cases and other transnational issues.
