On November 23, the Xinhua-Sunshine Intellectual Property Judicial Protection Index Seminar was held in Beijing. The three experts from SSIP and LIU Chuntian-SUchi-JINKesheng participated the seminar and deliver important speeches. The three experts agreed that this index can not only reveal advanced practice in China and lead innovation, but also help China’s economic and social development, serve the country’s innovation-driven strategy, and effectively enhance the guidance and effectiveness of judicial protection of intellectual property.
The Xinhua-Sunshine IP Judicial Protection Index was jointly developed by China Economic Information Service, SSIP and Beijing IP House Network Technology Development Co., Ltd. It aims to comprehensively and objectively measure the level of judicial protection of intellectual property in China, to provide relevant data support for the development of intellectual property in cities and industries, and to better play the leading role of judicial protection of intellectual property.
On the seminar, scholars from Peking University, Capital University of Economics and Business, judges and arbitrators from the judicial system and arbitration system in Beijing, Shanghai and Zhejiang, experts from China Economic Information Service and IP House expressed their opinions. They all agreed that as the first part of the special research for a series of index, Xinhua-Sunshine IP Judicial Protection index had strong practical significance. The logic of the research is very clear, and the theme of focus is definite. The index could be used in comparison horizontally and be developed vertically.
It is reported that the Index will be released in next April. SSIP will follow the latest development of the Index.
