The charitable activity “Intelligence China” is initiated jointly by SSIP and the Artificial Intelligence + Education Special Committee that is subordinated to Artificial Intelligence Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance of China High-tech Industrialization Association (hereafter “AITISA of CHIA”) in the Conference of AI Empowering Education Global Summit in Guangzhou on November 9. The donation ceremony of “Intelligence China” is held together, which is hosted by Liu Shaojun, the vice secretary-general of SSIP.
The Artificial Intelligence + Education Special Committee is founded in the Conference of AI Empowering Education Global Summit, which is subordinated to AITISA of CHIA. Hu Ping, the secretary-general of AITISA of CHIA and professor of Tsinghua University announces the regulations and organizational structure of the special committee.
The Artificial Intelligence + Education Special Committee employs Prof. Wang Jilong of Tsinghua University to be the chairman and invites Prof. Xiao Jun, vice president of School of Artificial Intelligence in University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Huang Yongfeng of the department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University, Rao Chuan, the ** dean of Zhongguancun Institute of Innovation and Training, Sun Yue, the president of Longgang School Affiliated to Shanghai International Studies University, Yuan Zhongguo, the group leader of Information and Technology Teaching and Research Group of the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China, Dr. Ren Siguo, the vice director of Primary and Secondary School Working Committee of CAAI and Deng Ya, CEO of Ebbinghaus Intelligence Education as vice chairman of the committee. Besides, six corporations are employed to be vice chairman unit, including Zhongguancun Institute of Innovation and Training, Future Gene (Beijing) Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, Ebbinghaus Intelligence Education, Union of Western & Eastern Education (UWEE), Beijing Hong Yaa Tech Corporation and Beijing Keyi Robot Corporation.
Dr. Yang Hua, the vice secretary-general of AITISA of CHIA, serves as the secretary-general of the Artificial Intelligence + Education Special Committee. Dr. Gong Chao, the chief expert of Future Gene Artificial Intelligence Research Institute and Lei Yao, the chief economist, serve as the vice secretary-general together.
In the donation ceremony, Future Gene (Beijing) Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, Ebbinghaus Intelligence Education and Beijing Hong Yaa Tech Corporation respectively donate artificial intelligence course worth five million yuan to the public activity. Gan Xinzhong, the teacher of Yingpan Middle School, Fengqing County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province and Liu Yingmei, the initiator of “Stars Project” of Sichuan Province accept the donation as the representatives.
SSIP is a non-public offering foundation established in Beijing in December 2010. Its aim is to invigorate China through the development of science and education, to help the poor and the weak, and to promote the development of IP and law. The scope of SSIP’s business includes: funding teaching and research, talents training, communication and cooperation in the field of IP and law, providing scholarship, and holding other activities of public interest that are beneficial for the development of IP. From now on, SSIP will take full advantage in the field of intellectual property teaching and research to assist the special committee in implementing the donated courses, which will help more students from remote districts receive artificial intelligence education as soon as possible. Meanwhile, SSIP will strive to fulfill its aim to invigorate China through the development of science and education and to help the poor and the weak as well as to make contribution to the implementation of the national intellectual property strategy.
