In order to promote the construction of a “one-stop” full-process online multiple dispute resolution system, realize the principle of “no need to go out of the house and all disputes solved online” to resolve Internet disputes on the spot, and to improve the level of legalization of the business environment in the cyberspace, the Guangzhou Internet Court and Internet platforms in China promoted the establishment of the “Fengqiao E Station” working mechanism. The Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Legal Development Foundation has established a related public welfare legal research project under this working mechanism. The relevant matters for 2021 are hereby announced as follows:
I. Research Projects
1. Research on Hot Legal Issues of Cross-border E-commerce
2. Research on Legal Issues of Copyright Liability Boundary of Short Video Platform
II. Requirements for Applicants
1. Each subject project should form a separate subject group.
2. The research team should be composed of 3 or more people, and there should be professionals in the field of law.
3. The project leader should have the title of associate professor or above or a professional technical person equivalent to the title of associate professor or associate researcher. The members of the research group should have a master's degree or above.
Team leaders and other members whose previous research results are related to this topic can be given priority when determining the research group.
III. Research Period
The project will be completed within half a year from the date of signing the contract.
IV. Research Fund
According to the specific needs of the project research, the Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Legal Development Foundation will negotiate with the project undertaker, and the amount of fund will be set according to the contract.
(Note: 50% of the total funds will be allocated when the contract is signed, and the remaining funds will be allocated after the completion of the project).
V. Application of the Project
Institutions of higher learning, scientific research institutes, think tanks and other professional research institutions are sincerely invited to participate in the research. Teams interested in applying for the above research projects can read Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Legal Development Foundation Planning Form for Guangzhou Internet Court’s “Fengqiao E Station” Rule of Law Research Project (Annex 1), fill in the Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Legal Development Foundation Application form for Guangzhou Internet Court “Fengqiao E Station” Rule of Law Research Project (Annex 2) in two copies, affixed with the official seal of the employer. Please submit or mail the Application Form to Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property Foundation, Room 60443, Beijing Friendship Hotel, No. 1 Zhongguancun South Street, Haidian District, Beijing. Please indicate “Fengqiao E Station Project Application” on the envelope, and send the electronic version of the application materials to the mailbox info@ ssip.org.cn.
The deadline for project application is December 15, 2021 (the electronic version can be submitted first).
After the expiration of the application period, the project team will be selected according to the application (Guangzhou Internet Court “Cloud Mediation U-chain” partner universities are preferred), and the project contract will be negotiated and signed.
VI. Final Acceptance of the Project Results
The research team should complete a research report of no less than 30,000 words within half a year from the date of signing the contract. The Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Legal Development Foundation will invite the Guangzhou Internet Court and the elevant experts and scholars to form a review team, and host a review meeting to review and accept the research report.
VII. Other Matters
1. The project research report and related results are shared by the Guangzhou Internet Court, Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Legal Development Foundation, and the members of the research group. The research report and related results can be used free of charge under reasonable premises.
2. The research report of the subject and the application of related results should be marked with the following words: Funded by Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Legal Development Foundation Guangzhou Internet Court “Fengqiao E Station” Rule of Law Research Project.
