In order to promote the construction of a “one-stop” full-process online multiple dispute resolution system, realize the principle of “no need to go out of the house and all disputes solved online” to resolve Internet disputes on the spot, and improve the level of legalization of the business environment in the cyberspace, the Guangzhou Internet Court and Internet platforms in China promoted the establishment of the “Fengqiao E Station” working mechanism. The Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Law Development Foundation has established a related public welfare legal research project under this working mechanism. The announcement of the “2021 ‘Fengqiao E Station’ Rule of Law Research Project Application” was released on November 2, 2021.
The foundation has received applications from many research teams before the due date of the project application. The foundation and the Guangzhou Internet court jointly reviewed and decided:
The team of Professor YUAN Quan, Dean of Guangdong Research Institute for Rule of Law of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, was approved to undertake the research project on “ Hot Legal Issues of Cross-border E-commerce”.
The team of CHEN Xiankai, associate professor of Law School/Intellectual Property School of Jinan University, was approved to undertake the research project on “Legal Issues of Copyright Liability Boundary of Short Video Platform”.

The foundation will determine new research projects in 2022. All are welcome to take part and provide support in the joint effort to contribute to the study of Intellectual Property Law and Practice.
